Cottagers close in on Mido swoop

Tottenham striker Mido is poised to complete a move to Fulham within the next few days, according to newspaper reports.

The 24-year-old has become disillusioned with life at the north Londonclub after failing to jump ahead of Dimitar Berbatov, Robbie Keane andJermain Defoe in the pecking order of White Hart Lane frontmen.

The Sun reports that the Egypt international has met with compatriotMohamed Al Fayed and looks set to become new boss Lawrie Sanchez'sfirst signing at Craven Cottage.

Mido found the target a paltry five times last season, with only one ofthose in the Premier League against West Ham back in August.

However, the stocky striker would certainly fit the system of play thatSanchez is looking to adopt for the upcoming campaign and could cost inthe region of £3.5million.
